5 Reasons Why You SHOULDN’T Buy A Nintendo DS Lite

A lot of guides talk about the reasons why you should buy a Nintendo DS Lite. Most of them praise the Nintendo DS Lite to the point that they already sound like strong sales pitches.

Well, this article wants to be different.

Instead of talking about the reasons why you should purchase a Nintendo DS Lite – reasons which are quite obvious to begin with – this article will be talking about the reasons why you SHOULD NOT buy the portable gaming system. That’s right! It’s not all roses for Nintendo’s flagship handheld console. There are quite a number of reasons why you should stay far away from the Nintendo DS Lite.

Here are 5 such reasons:

1. It will make you play games for longer hours. The Nintendo DS Lite boasts of a longer battery life, thanks to an improved battery unit and an additional level of brightness that will help the player save some battery life when extra power isn’t needed. The result? Less fear that the battery will run out in the middle of a game, and more time spent playing. This means less time for other matters like work and studies and leisure activities.

2. People will look at you with envy. The Nintendo DS Lite has a sexier, sleeker design. It’s not as bulky as the original Nintendo DS. The Nintendo DS Lite also comes in a variety of flashy colors. All of these result in an eye-catching package that will have people ogling at you – particularly your Nintendo DS Lite unit, actually – while you’re playing in public. Who would want such attention, right?

3. You’ll end up spending a lot of cash because of the fantastic games that have been released for the system. The Nintendo DS Lite has a deep library of games that outnumber the games of its competitor, the Sony PSP, by a ratio of 4:1. A deeper library means more games to choose from and more cash to spend for them.

4. You’ll spend even more cash for the amazing games that will be released for the system in 2009 and beyond. Even if you’ll try your best to take a peek at the Nintendo DS Lite’s existing catalogue of titles, the games in the horizon will catch your attention, guaranteed. Scribblenauts, Dragon Quest IX, Kingdom Hearts, Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story, Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks and more will be very difficult to resist.

5. You’ll have to deal with an angry partner – boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife or date – because you won’t be able to resist the temptation of playing with your Nintendo DS Lite even when you’re supposed to spend some quality time with him or her. Yup, lover’s quarrels can be more draining than the last level of New Super Mario Bros.
