One of the worst things that can happen to your Nintendo DS Lite unit is the top screen getting damaged. Believe it or not, from a repairman’s standpoint, repairing the top screen on the Nintendo DS Lite would be easier than repairing the damage to the top screen, even if the bottom screen is the more complex component given the fact that it is the one with touch screen functionality. The reason for this is simple: before one can remove the top screen for repairs, the repairman must first open up and disassemble the bottom half of the unit. It’s twice as much work than repairing the bottom screen.
